Tierra Emerson is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW). She earned her Bachelors degree in psychology at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She earned her Masters degree in social work from Wayne State. Since graduating in 2009, Tierra has worked in various roles in the Human Service field including serving at Community Mental Health with a focus on individuals with developmental disabilities, and mental illnesses such as depression, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, and substance abuse disorders. Tierra has also worked in the hospice field and as a social worker in a long-term care facility with individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease giving her great compassion for grief and loss, long-term illnesses, and the families of those who are disabled. Tierra enjoys working with individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds and enjoys meeting people where they are in their mental health.
Tierra is a dedicated Christian who enjoys incorporating both the clinical and spiritual aspects of the whole person to bring about lasting change in their lives.
