Nicole Ahlschwede

LMSW

Nicole Ahlschwede is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) who has worked in the mental health and substance use disorder field for over 10 years. Nicole earned her Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University and her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. During the course of her career, she has served clients with diverse needs and diagnoses including mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression and substance use disorders in both home-based and outpatient settings. Nicole works together with her clients to develop a person-centered counseling approach that is unique to their individual needs and choices. She has a passion for supporting individuals, couples and families on their journeys toward growth, healing and positive change in their lives. She has seen the many benefits of incorporating a faith-based approach to treatment and will include this in client's therapy sessions upon request.
