Devon has been working in the field of mental health and substance use since 2014. She first began her career as a peer support specialist by sharing her testimony of her own long term recovery from a co-occurring disorder. Devon’s passion for using her story to help others grew and she pursued her education through Wayne State University and completed her Masters in Social Work. Devon has worked at community mental health since 2014 providing support to adults and adolescents with substance use disorders, personality disorders, depression, anxiety and trauma. Devon also specializes in using strengths based perspective, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and prolonged exposure therapy to help people reach their best quality of life possible.
